Two literacies, one classroom.
Open Literacy teaches the two things school leaves out: money and machines. It is two free courses, Finance and AI, for students and the teachers running the room. Students join with a class code, write their own answer before seeing anyone else’s, and the teacher reads every submission. I co-created the curriculum with two peers and built the site.
Workshops
We run workshops across the United States, Germany, and India. Every lesson is free, and stays free.
How it started
It began with me and my partner, Aadit Jain, in Siliguri, the summer after freshman year. Over the last 3 years it has compounded: we run workshops in person whenever we are there, and we keep developing an interactive course curriculum suited to young students in India.
